| Bio: | Lie the noble towers of my city, bright and gold. ![]() Let me take you there, show you a living story - let me show you others such as me. Why did I ever leave? Congratulations. You have found the art/writing journal of I write, a lot, and I draw...less (and less well) than I write, but often enough to warrant a journal, I think. It's my dream to one day be published. If I post any of that particular work, well, that stuff will probably be on a special filter. However, feel free to friend at will for the rest of it. Odds are I shall add you. Unless, yanno, I find out that you're a jerk or a known plagiarist or a flesh eating Martian or something. Between the Tick and the Tock: My main work, home of Smallcreep, The Squonk, Chach, and Russel (you will grow to hate these names due to overexposure). It's a merging of steampunk and alternate history, with a bit of a message though most of it is just fun. Lots and lots of writing and doodling here.18th and Fairfax: It started out as a modern mythology story, and I'm not quite sure what this qualifies as, but it's basically a sequel to Harvey. Kindof. Fly specks, fly specks! I've been spending my life among fly specks while miracles have been leaning on lampposts at 18th and Fairfax! Return of the Giant Hogweed: HERACLEUM MANTEGAZZIANI. A Genesis cover band fighting an alien invasion of a small Pennsylvanian town. Home of my original 2006 nanowrimo which I quit after less than 2000 words to write Between the Tick and the Tock. Contains crazed British exchange students, stereotypical aliens, and Mr. Coffeebot. Beware of the Coffeebot. Arcanis: This universe has no real name yet, though it needs one. Populated by Jacob Taylor and company - Jake is a bus driver who drives for Leyline Bus Company - a name that should be taken pretty literally. He is thusly followed by a pack of Ghostdogs. The dogs give him his magic in exchange for his affection - and someone doesn't like this. Title is a mixture of "Arcanum" and "Canine," thus cementing proof that I Am A Geek. Luck be a Lady: The roaring '20s, home of flappers, bootleggers and...gryphons? What? Yeah, I dunno either. Basically the story of a gang of gambling gryphons, and the halfbreed elf cop that has to keep an eye or two on their casino. Blind Anachronism: A college professor loses his wife, only to withdraw from the modern world...and into an experiment involving discouraged students, cigarette boats and an ancient pirate ship. Oh dear. Fanfiction: Yes, yes, I dabble in the stuff. I write Lost fanfiction (Market Square Heroes, which is set in an Orwellian future where the Losties are Humanity's Last Hope, and smaller canon works), Trigun fanfiction (mostly drabbles), Doctor Who fanfiction (none-posted yet, but 3rd, 5th, 9th and 10th stuff, mostly) and the occasional Who-fic, when I feel like writing bandfic, which is less and less often these days. Role Playing Games: Yes. I am a dweeb. Yes, I am part of four RPGs: La Vei, Quaesitus Academy, Althanas and Praelitis. It was five until MMM shut down. RIP, MMM. My characters are (respectively): Friedrich Köhler, a government created werewolf occupying Paris; George Williams, a wereraven with a compulsion to collect any and all music, Helen Williams, Geo's jerky older sister; Ewansiha Kingston, a hyena shifter, Jerry Davis, a psychic psychology teacher, and Cael Inkfinger, an Inkmage. Profiles may follow for unlinked! ![]() The song is A Trick of the Tail, by Genesis; the graphics (banners, icons and so forth) are from the album of the same name. It also has an rather amusing video. This is the title song from the first Genesis album I ever heard, and it is the album (along with Smallcreep's Day) that helps me write the most. It seemed only fitting. The idea for how to set up this profile is borrowed from All writing, art and characters posted within are © Sarah M. Thompson ( | |||||
